This course enables students to get to know and understand modern EU media landscape, taking into account its historical development and modern state. The students will get acquainted with the EU single media space and the peculiarities of media systems of different European countries. The course will also cover the aspect of changing journalistic business models in EU and journalistic practices in today’s digital age, the appearance of new genres and formats and the current ways of dissemination of information. Ethical and professional aspects of EU media market will be highlighted.
